We spent ten luxurious days at Mkoma Bay and had a fabulous time. The staff is knowledgeable and accommodating, whether it be cooking up our catch of the day or helping us plan a day in Pangani. The beach is beautiful and the scenery amazing. Hope we make it back soon!

I have spent a week at Mkoma Bay tented lodge. I was very taken by the commitment and friendliness of the staff during my stay. Everybody seems to be working for the same goal; the best is what we want to give.

I really want to thank the management and staff for a wonderful time at Mkoma Bay. The boat trip to Maziwe Island was just great and the tour up Pangani river with local guides who knew local history and where the croccodiles were was such a good experience.The reason why Mkoma Bay tented lodge is so very special is that everyting is so unspoiled, simple and with a quality that is unspoiled

If something can ever come close to paradise its perhaps places like Mkoma Bay.
A wonderful and relaxing ambiance accompanied by nature's finest scenery and delicious and healthy food makes its a place to return to again and again and again.

I went with my family to Mkoma Bay about 18 months ago. It was an absolutly delightful experience. We found Lisa and Ulrik to be engaging hosts and dinners in the dinning room to be like large dinner parties which included delicious food such as lobster. All the staff were very helpful and made our stay enjoyable. The rooms were luxurious. We took a dhow ride to Maziwe Island which was dream like. To have our own private white sand island for the day was like something out of a movie. I would highly recommend for anyone to stay at Mkoma bay. It is well worth it.

My stay at Mkoma Bay Tented Lodge was one of the most rewarding holiday experiences of my life. In all of my travels, never have I seen such beautiful and unspoiled scenery surrounding a first class resort. The accommodations were charming and unique, set amidst a stunning backdrop. I felt safely and comfortably tucked inside my spacious tented lodge amongst palm trees, singing insects and the roar of the Indian ocean just outside my tent walls. Lisa and Ulrik were gracious hosts and were beyond accommodating. I highly recommend Mkoma Bay to couples and single travelers as a place to recharge and relax, as well as a place to bring the entire family--the amenities and activities they offer are bountiful. I can't wait to make a return trip next year!

We came upon Mkoma Bay by accident and what a find. It was the nearest thing to paradise that I have ever experienced. I would not hesitate to recommend this fantastic haven on the Indian Ocean. A perfect place to unwind and relax. My only regret is that we could not stay longer! I am aiming to go back soon.

My family and I (7 all together) had a very good time at Mkoma bay last August. we stayed in the big house with a marvelous view to the Ocean. The day snorkling near Maziwe Island was fantastic, even better than later on Zanzibar. Staying at the pool was very relaxing, the dinner delicious every day and the staff takes good care of his guests. We special thank Ulrik and Lisa for the help we got when our daughter needed to go to the hospital. We had a great time and hope to return some day.

We came upon Mkoma Bay by accindent. The website does not do it justice! A perfectly relaxing vacation with wonderful service (Lisa, Ulrik and the staff are great) and excellent food. The beach is quiet and Meg is a great companion! Truly paradise!

Ulrik and Lisa run a fantastic place at Mkoma Bay. Very friendly and helpful staff and the quality of everything is very good. If you have not visited there then you really don't know what you are missing. The snorkling and river trips are great and well worthwhile doing. Very nice food and prawns to die for. The setting is paradise yet it is peaceful and unspoiled.
We would recommend Mkoma Bay to anyone and we will do that.

Mkoma Bay is a magical place! Fascinating nature, beautiful beach, good quality accommodation, friendly staff, delicious food... and two lovely German shephard dogs! Oh yes, cool music by the pool side, . Thanks Ulrik for making us feel like at home, Luka has absolutely fallen in love with the place and your dogs. Hope to meet again soon. We didn't make it to the caves due to heavy rains and a huge puddle on the way, but thanks for your advice and help with the torch (hope they delivered it back to you at the Yacht club).
